Marie Hall Smith

Thomson, GA- Marie Hall Smith entered into rest October 18, 2018.

Mrs. Smith was born and raised in Augusta Georgia. She attended  The Academy of Richmond County where she earned her degree in cosmetology.

She was a dedicated and loving mother. She was very involved with the school her children attended and volunteered for every event. Every student in the school and especially the cafeteria knew and adored her.

Mrs. Smith  loved to fish. She loved spending time with her family and friends at the lake, and spent many of nights sitting around the camp fire. She loved her family and was a die hard Atlanta Braves Fan.

Marie settled in Thomson Georgia in the early eighties and was an employee at the White Columns Inn for over 20 years.

She is survived by her loving husband, George Alexander Smith, her son James Clifton Dansby

(Melinda), her brother, Alvia Kyth "Butch" Hall (Faye), sister, Joanne Hall Crouch, Brother in law Wayne Taylor Smith (Peggy) several nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is proceeded in death by her parents Alvia Kyth Hall Sr, and Eleanor Weathers Hall, her daughter Carmie Marie Dansby, brothers Cohen Callie Hall, Hezzie O'Neal Hall

The family will receive friends from 3 until 5 p.m., Sunday, October 21st at the funeral home and a graveside service will be held at 10 a.m., Monday, October 22nd at Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens.

The family would like to thank her nurses and all care givers at NHC in North Augusta for your love, compassion and devotion.
