Margaret Mary Groves

Evans, Georgia- Mrs. Margaret Mary Groves, 81, entered peacefully into rest August 25, 2016 at Westwood Skilled Nursing Facility.

Mrs. Groves was born in Detroit, Michigan and was the daughter of the late John W. Foch and the late Helen Bittner Foch. She was a painting instructor and worked in Retail Sales for many years. Mrs. Groves was a loving wife, mother and grandmother (Gommy). She was also an honorary member of Redeemer PCA. Prior to her move to Georgia, she was a very active member and much loved friend and neighbor to many in the Carefree County Club retirement community in Winter Haven, Florida for the past 20 years. Mrs. Groves was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert L Groves; a brother, James Foch; and her sister, Arlene Wooldridge.

Survivors include daughters, Cindy Beatty (Tim) of Evans, GA, Lisa Turvin of Knoxville, TN; son, Johnny Turvin of Jacksonville, FL; brother, Roger Foch of Winter Haven, FL;  granddaughters, Misty Christiansen (Kyle) of Evans, GA, Laura Green (Ken) of Mooresville, NC; grandson, David Turvin of Knoxville, TN; great grandchildren, Joshua, Garrett, and Caroline Green and Megan, Grant, and Kate Margaret Christiansen.

Memorial services will be held at 11 o'clock a.m., Tuesday, August 30, 2016 in the chapel of Beggs Funeral Home with Rev. Charlie Stakely officiating. The family will receive friends from 10 until 11 a.m., Tuesday prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers it is the family's request that memorial contributions be made to Redeemer Women's Ministry (2540 William Few Parkway, Evans, GA 30809) or an animal shelter or rescue of your choice.
