Biography

Margaree "Rita" Treadwell Thomson, GA- Mrs. Margaree "Rita" Sturkey Treadwell of Boulevard Drive entered into rest June 30, 2011. She was the beloved wife of the late James "Tony" Treadwell. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, July 3, 2011 at the Beggs Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Todd Upchurch officiating. Interment will follow in Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be: Benji Sturkey, Floyd Brooks, Bruce McGahee, David Wells, Adam Sturkey, Charles Fuller, Tim Bales and Jason Cranford. Mrs. Treadwell was a native of McDuffie County, Georgia and was the daughter of the late Fonzie Sturkey and Mary Walker Sturkey. She was a homemaker and a member of Second Baptist Church. Survivors include her daughter, Cynthia Usry and husband, Donald, Thomson, GA; sons, Thomas Anthony Treadwell and wife, Cheryl, Avera, GA, James Darrell Treadwell and wife, Kathy, Dearing, GA; sisters, Gladys Keller, Agnes Brooks, Mary Langham; brothers, Billy Sturkey, David "Bud" Sturkey, Buck Sturkey all of Thomson, GA; grandchildren, Jayme Usry (Beth), Ayme Usry Cranford (Jason), Kayla Treadwell, Bryan Treadwell, Vicky Treadwell and J. C. Treadwell; step grandchildren, Robert Cosby, Jessie Cosby, Brandon Moore, Olivia Moore, Samantha Hooper; great grandchild, Callie Anne Usry; and a special friend, Vernon Newsome.
