Madeline B. McCord Warrenton, GA- Mrs. Madeline Bradshaw McCord, 87 of Atlanta Hwy. entered into rest June 29, 2011. She was the beloved wife of the late William Dudley McCord. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, July 2, 2011 at the Beggs Funeral Home Chapel with Revs. Sue Meehan and Linda Allen officiating. Interment will follow in Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be: Michael Thigpen, Matthew Thigpen, Macy Thigpen, Chad McCord, Chris McCord and Charlie McCord. Mrs. McCord was a native of Warren County, Georgia and was the daughter of the late Cecil Thomas Bradshaw and late Ida Bell Askew Bradshaw. She was a homemaker and a member of Mesena United Methodist Church. Survivors include her son, William "Bill" McCord and wife, Dot of Thomson, GA; daughter, Jean M. Thigpen and husband, Lewis of Warrenton, GA; sisters, Elizabeth B. McCord, N. Augusta, SC, and Lou B. Bailey, Macon, GA; grandchildren, Chad McCord, Chris McCord, Michael Thigpen, Matthew Thigpen, and Macy Thigpen; and great grandchildren, Prater Thigpen, Billy McCord, Christian Thigpen, Addison McCord, Mary Anne McCord, Crawford Thigpen, Hayden McCord, Elizabeth Thigpen, Sawyer Thigpen, and Myla Thigpen. Memorials may be made to Warrenton Health and Rehabilitation Resident Council, 3328 Atlanta Hwy., Warrenton, GA 30828. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
