Mabel Kennedy Woods

Mrs. Mabel Kennedy Woods of Stagecoach Road entered into rest November 4, 2017.

Mrs. Woods was a lifelong resident of McDuffie County, Georgia and was the daughter of the late Johnny Alvin Kennedy and the late Emma Byce Kennedy. She was a homemaker and she retired from Moore's in Thomson as a sales associate. Mrs. Woods was a member of New Hope Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Bruce Woods; daughter, Rebecca Higdon and sons, Joey Higdon and James Higdon.

Survivors include her son, Jeff Higdon ( Christine); sisters, Margaret Quick, Dorothy Johnson, Sheila Thompson; 9 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 7, 2017 in the chapel of Beggs Funeral Home with Rev. Allen Holbrook officiating.

The family will receive friends from 1 until 2 p.m., prior to the service.

Beggs Funeral Home, Thomson, Georgia is in charge of arrangements.
