Life Legacy

Lucille Gwynette Hollis, 60, of Thomson was welcomed into the arms of her father on November 24, 2012 after a bravely fought battle with cancer. She was at home surrounded by her loving family when she passed. Gwyn, known by family and friends, was born in Bath, SC on Nov. 21, 1952 to Willene Hinson Josey and the late Herbert Allen Josey, Sr. They later gave her two younger brothers Herbie and Jimmy Josey. The majority of her life was spent in Thomson with her husband of 42 years, Leonard (Lenny) C. Hollis, Jr. where together they lovingly raised four beautiful daughters: Lynn and Lilly Hollis both of Thomson, Lucy Reese (Doug) of Round Rock, TX, & Lora Hollis-Lloyd (Donnie) of Bloomingdale, GA. Gwyn had many hobbies including reading, crocheting, crafting, baking and collecting antiques. She also enjoyed outdoor activities such as gardening, fishing, and camping. Most of all she loved spending time with her grandchildren: Dustin Salaza, Jossey & Donnie Lloyd, and Aaron & Austin Reese. A private service will be held for the family.
