Thomson, GA – Mr. Myron Loyd Brooks, 91, entered into rest October 8, 2019.

Mr. Brooks, a long-time resident of Thomson, GA, grew up in the panhandle of Warren County, and was the son of the late Jesse Reese Brooks and the late Allie Cason Brooks.   He served in the Air Force during the Korean War and was a retired representative of Southland Insurance.  He had served as a deacon of Sweetwater Baptist Church where he was a member.  Mr. Brooks was predeceased by brothers, Edward Brooks, Emory Brooks, Jesse Roy Brooks, and Cecil W. Brooks; and great grandchild, Alivia Brooks.

Survivors include his beloved wife of 60 years, Vivian Marshall Brooks; sons, Michael Lloyd Brooks (Donna) and Christopher Brooks (Jill) all of Thomson; grandchildren, Michael Brooks, Jr. (Brittany), Casey Evans (A.J.), Jesse Brooks (Catherine), and Joshua Brooks; and great grandchildren, Anna Beth Brooks and Adalynn James Brooks.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, October 11, 2019 in the Beggs Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Clifton Brown officiating.  Interment will follow in the Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 1 until 2 p.m., Friday at the funeral home prior to the service.
