Lottie Ophelia Gibson

Mrs. Lottie Ophelia Wright Gibson, 75, wife of the late Wayne Gibson,  formerly of Lincolnton entered into rest on Monday, January 22, 2018 at Hope Memory Care, Dacula, Ga.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 25, 2018 at 3pm at Lincolnton Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the Bethany United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2pm until the hour of the service in the church social room.

Mrs. Gibson, daughter of the late Norman Alexander and Abigail Banks Wright, had lived in Lincoln County most of her life until moving to Hiawassee in 2008. She was a homemaker and member of Lincolnton Baptist Church.

In addition to her husband, her son, Russell Gibson, brother, Treadwell Wright and sister, Barbara Aycock, preceded her in death.

She is survived by her son,  Jody  Gibson and wife, Dena  of Lincolnton, Ga.; daughter, Rhonda Mize, and husband, Bart  of Cleveland, Ga.; daughter, Carole Shirley, of Young Harris, Ga.; sisters, Daphne Rowland and husband, James, Reesie Ludwig and husband, John; nine grandchildren; and one great grandchild. Beggs Funeral Home, 200 May Ave., Lincolnton is in charge of arrangements.
