Lois H. Wright

Mrs. Lois Elynor Wright, 89 of Evans, Ga. entered into rest on Wednesday, November 3, 2021 at Pruitt Health Care, Washington.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 8, 2021 at The Sanctuary, 4584 Cox Rd., Evans, Ga.  Interment will follow at Bellevue Memorial Gardens, Grovetown. The family will receive friends beginning at noon until 1 pm in the church.

Mrs. Wright, daughter of the late Horace and Eula Mae Mills Hancock was born on February 20, 1932 in Augusta, Ga. She graduated from Tubman High School in 1950 which was the last all female class. For most of her career, she was a bookkeeper for the Richmond Hotel and later was employed by Doctors Hospital.  In addition, she was a voting poll worker for many years. In 1966, she and her husband Clifford moved their family to Evans where she has resided since. For the past 25 years, she has been a member of Bible Deliverance Temple.

She will be greatly missed by her family which includes her sons, James Wright and wife Frankie of Evans, Bruce Wright of Saluda, SC, Roy Wright of Evans, Joe Wright and wife Michelle of Grovetown; daughters, Doris Powell of Evans and Sara Quarles and husband Tim of Lincolnton; daughter-in-law, Sharon Bledsoe of Martinez; sister Janice Zimmerman of Ft Wayne, IN.; 22 grandchildren; 34 great- grandchildren and 3 great- great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Clifford Wright; infant daughter, Wanda Gail Wright; son, Richard Wright; granddaughter, Lisa Wright Smith and brother, Alton Hancock.
