Lois Johnson Johnson
Evans,GA-Mrs. Lois Johnson Johnson, 82, of Sandhills Lane went to be with her Lord on Sunday, January 18, 2015.
Mrs. Johnson was born in Warren County, Georgia on October 3, 1932 and was the daughter of the late Tom Truitt and Omie Matthews Johnson. She was a graduate of Georgia Teachers College (GA Southern) with a B.S. in elementary education.
She was employed by Laurens, Columbia and Richmond County School Systems during her teacher career. She was an active member of Warren Baptist Church and a member of the Joyful Sunday School Class. Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Edwin Johnson, and two sisters, Bernice J. Maddox and Edna J. Mauldin.
Survivors include her daughter, Rebecca Johnson French and son-in-law, Samuel Tyler French, and one sister, Pansy J. Boddiford. She also leaves behind a lifelong friend, Edith Chalker Langford, other cherished friends and her dear little companion, "Lizzie".
Following a private burial at Johnson Cemetery, Warrenton, Georgia, a service of worship will be held at 3:00 p.m, Wednesday, January 21, 2015 in the Chapel at Warren Baptist Church, Augusta, Georgia with the Rev. Roger Henderson officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
Memorial contributions may be made to Missions for Christ in lieu of flowers.
Beggs Funeral Home 799 Cobbham Rd., Thomson, Georgia is in charge.
