Mrs. Lois Ann Garrard Norman, 82 of Metasville Rd., Washington, Ga. entered into rest on Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at Wills Memorial Hospital.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, February 12, 2021 at Smyrna United Methodist Church Cemetery with Pastor Melissa Reynolds officiating. Due to COVID restrictions, the family will speak with family and friends following the service at the graveside while practicing social distancing guidelines.
Mrs. Norman, daughter of the late Henry Gilbert and Lois King Garrard was born on November 3, 1938 in Wilkes County, She lived in Wilkes County all of her life and was a devoted wife and mother. Her pastimes included sewing, assembling jigsaw puzzles, playing the piano, and cooking. For many years, she and her husband Gerald enjoyed visiting their cabin at Maggie Valley, NC. She was a member of Smyrna United Methodist Church where she had been the church pianist in years past. Her husband, Gerald O. Norman, Sr. passed away on February 8, 2019.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Debbie N. Lewis and husband Mark; son, Gerald O. "Jerry" Norman, Jr. all of Washington; grandsons, Caleb Free, Derek Free and wife April; great- grandchild, Rose Free. Memorials may be made to American Heart Association, 1353 Jennings Mill Rd., Bogart, Ga. 30622. Beggs Funeral Home, Lincolnton is honored to serve the family of Mrs. Lois Ann Garrard Norman.
