Mr. Lloyd Thomas "Tom" Aycock Jr., 69, of Biscayne Drive in Lincolnton, Georgia, passed away at his residence, on Friday, July 22, 2022.
A memorial service with full military honors will be held on Saturday, July 30, 2022, at 2 PM at First Assembly of God 350 May Avenue Lincolnton, Georgia.
Tom was born at Fort Gordon, Georgia to Lloyd Thomas Aycock Sr. and Joyce Goodwin Aycock. He graduated from Butler High School and also attended two years of college. Mr. Aycock chose a career in the U. S. Air Force serving during the Vietnam War, Gulf War and Grenada and retired as a master sergeant after 24 years of service to his country. He also was with the Airborne Express for 14 years. They moved to the area around 10 years ago coming from Charleston, SC and he was a member of First Assembly of God here in Lincolnton. Tom was a man of character and valor and he loved his Lord and Savior, as well as his family. His hobbies were making and flying remote controlled airplanes, fishing and automobiles, especially Corvettes and SS Chevelles.
Along with his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers Daniel, Kelvin and Jimmy Aycock. He is survived by his wife, Glenda Greenway Aycock, son, Lloyd Thomas Aycock III, sisters, Sherolyn Flourney and husband, Paul of Fadette, AL, Pamela Swindol of Lexington, SC, brothers, Steve and wife Shirley Aycock of Oxford, GA, Greg Aycock of Augusta, GA, Rusty Lloyd and wife Ana Aycock of Freeport, FL, grandchildren, Brittany Aycock and Brandon Aycock and one great grandchild, Storm of Reynoldburg, OH and numerous nieces and nephews.
