Thomson, GA – Mrs. Linda P. Nichols, 66, entered into rest September 28, 2015.

Mrs. Nichols was born in Augusta, GA to the late Joseph O. Shelton and the late Ethel Cranford Shelton. She was the 1965-1966 Homecoming Queen of the American High School in Karlsruhe, Germany. Mrs. Nichols lived most of her life in Thomson, GA and worked at First National Bank, SunTrust Bank and retired from Citizens Bank. She loved cooking, camping and riding motorcycles. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

Survivors include her beloved husband, George Nichols; sons, Scott Nichols (Yusely) of Villa Rica, GA; daughter, Kristen E. Nichols of Thomson, GA; sisters, Susan Montgomery of Warrenton, GA, Brenda Reed of Mitchell, GA and grandchild, Valerie Nichols. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sister, Elaine Dent.

Funeral services will be held at 3 o'clock, p.m., Friday, October 2, 2015 in the chapel of Beggs Funeral Home. Interment will be private.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Prospect Association Cemetery Fund in care of Kathy Groseclose at 128 Myrick Road, Milledgeville, GA 31061.

The family will receive friends from 6 until 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
