Thomson, Georgia- Ms. Linda Joan Keeton, 62, of Thomson entered into rest December 21, 2016.

Ms. Keeton taught at T.W. Josey for many years and was a retired from the Richmond County Board of Education.  She was predeceased by her mother, Patricia Davis Love.

Survivors include her father, Rube Keeton of Monroe, NC; sisters, Laura Hutcheson of North Augusta, SC and Brenda Fariss of Thomson, GA; niece, Amanda Hegler (David); great-niece, Lilly Hegler; great-nephew, Greyson Hegler and relatives in Texas.

A private family gathering will be held.

Ms. Keeton lived by The Prayer of Jabez: "And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that Thou wouldest bless me indeed, and enlarge my coast, and that Thine hand might be with me, and that Thou wouldest keep me from evil, that it may not grieve me! And God granted him that which he requested."
