Lillian Jewell (Walston) Childre

Lillian Childre, 80, of Morris Rd., Thomson, Georgia entered into rest on September 18, 2021.

Lillian grew up in Franklin, GA and was the daughter of the late Woodrow Walston and the late Maude Mann Walston. She lived in Thomson, GA most of her life where she worked at Thomson Company and Chardan. Lillian was a Christian by faith. She enjoyed traveling, gardening and watching baseball. Most of all Lillian loved hosting family dinners and spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Rudolph J. Childre, Sr. and brothers, Thomas Walston, Charles Walston, and Billy Walston.

Survivors include her children, Chris Adams (Tracey) and Missy Conner (Eric); grandchildren, Austin Cooper (Summer), Hayden Conner, Josh Adams, Lauren Stanley (Matt), Drew Usry, Emily Godbee (Tyler); great grandchildren, Adam Stanley, Fletcher Cooper, Charlestyn Godbee and Chandler Godbee; brothers, Gene Walston (Delores), Howard Walston (Nancy), David Walston (Katherine), Frankie Walston, Johnny Walston, Hayward Walston and Calvin Walston; and sisters, Annette Koskiner, and Kathy Carrol.

Funeral services will be held at 2p.m., Tuesday, September 21, 2021 in the chapel of Beggs Funeral Home with Zach Washington officiating. Interment will follow in Westview Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m., Monday, September 20th at the funeral home.

Per CDC requirements, the family will be observing social distancing, and masks are requested and appreciated.  Due to the current national health concern, the family would appreciate phone calls, cards, texts, and e-mails.
