Lessie Mae Young

Mrs. Lessie Mae Norman Young, 87 of Hearst Cebo Rd., Lincolnton entered into rest on Saturday, March 6, 2021 at Doctors Hospital, Augusta.

Mrs. Young, daughter of the late Lonnie C. and Ella Mae Wellmaker Norman, was born in Lincoln County on December 3, 1933. She retired from Greenwood Mills and was a member of Goshen Baptist Church.  Her interests included taking care of her family and friends, cooking, flower gardening and junking.

She is survived by her daughters, Cathy Cawley Ferguson(Ricky) and Vivian Young Bugg; grandchildren, Betsy Strother (Randy), Britt Barnett (Vicki), Jeremy Barnett (Brandi), Rickey Lee Ferguson, Rebecca Carlisle (Frank), Lee Ferguson, Amanda Hogan (Billy Beck), Joshua Bugg; great- grandchildren, Emory Strother, Eli Strother, Carrington Barnett, Casey Barnett, Bailey Barnett, Ashton Evans, A.J. Evans, Dakota Barnett, Kayleigh Marsh, Makensy Collier, Madison Collier, Sadie Collier, Ian Carlisle, Caleb Carlisle, Brooklyn Ferguson, Kaylee Bugg and Brayden Bugg; brother, Robert E. "Bobby" Norman of Greenwood, SC; sisters, Patricia Martin (Gerald) of Greenwood, SC and Alicia Partridge (Doyle Capps) of Central, SC. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil "Cebo" Young; daughter, Earlene Cawley; siblings, Myrtle Dent, Louise Crook, Ruby Walton, Julius Norman, Lawrence Norman, Roy W. Norman and Charlie Norman.

Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, March 10, 2021 at 6pm at Goshen Baptist Church Cemetery. No formal visitation is planned.

The family is at the residence of Billy Beck and Amanda Hogan, 1084 Greenbrier Rd., Lincolnton, Ga. 30817.
