Les Smart

Mitchell, GA. – Mr. Leslie Wayne Smart, 76, of Washington Street entered into rest February 22, 2018.

Les grew up in Weatherford, Texas and was the son of Leslie Earl Smart and Margaret Probes Smart. He served in the U. S. Army and was stationed in Germany. Les worked as general manager of Blue Grass Treated Wood in Mitchell, Georgia. Les had a passion for life and took every opportunity for adventure. In addition to being a gun enthusiast, he enjoyed riding motorcycles, mountain climbing, road bicycling and kayaking. He was a lifelong admirer of all genres of music and played the flute and guitar. He never gave up his quest to learn new skills.

Les adored his family and is survived by his beloved brothers, Glenn Smart, Robert Smart and David Smart,his son, Rick Smart; and daughter, Leslie Michelle Smart; grandchildren, Ashley Smart, Austin Smart and Brianna Ely as well as 2 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. Sunday at Beggs Funeral Home.

His body will be conveyed to White's Funeral Home in Weatherford, Texas for a service and burial.
