Lenor Mae Turner

Mrs. Lenor Mae Turner, 81 of Independence St., entered into rest on Sunday, May 1, 2016 at Pruitt Health Care, Washington.

Mrs. Turner, daughter of the late James Ennis Johnson and Catherine Elizabeth Norton Johnson, was a native of North Carolina, but had lived most of her life in Wilkes County.  She had retired from the Wilkes County Board of Education as a school bus driver and part-time lunch room worker.

Survivors include:

Son, James R. "Jimmy" Fisher of Lincolnton;

Daughter, Diane Lamar of Tignall

Grandchildren: Casie Turner, Kevin Lamar, Chrissy Hadden, David Fisher, Michael Fisher,  and Jennifer Fisher

16 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, May 3 rd at 2:00pm at Resthaven Cemetery in Washington.  The family will receive friends Monday evening from 7pm until 9 pm at the funeral home.
