Augusta, GA-The infectious smile of  Leigh Prater, 45, now bask in the glory of her heavenly father since she entered among the angels on Tuesday, February 2, 2016 at University Hospital with her beloved family by her side.

Leigh grew up in Lincolnton and during high school moved to Thomson and later graduated from Briarwood Academy in 1988. Following graduation, she attended the University of Georgia where she was a Georgette in the Red Coat Marching Band. She continued her education at Augusta Technical College where she was currently doing clinical rotations in anticipation of receiving a degree in Phlebotomy.

Leigh, like her late father, Page Robert Prater, never met a stranger.  She was always full of laughter, love and fun and showed that through her interactions with her family, friends and everyone she met. Offering a kind word and compliment to each person she encountered, in her short time here on earth, she touched the lives of many.

Her family is sure that there was a great reunion among her late father and so many other family members and friends, with her , when she entered into Glory.

She will be greatly missed by her family including her husband, Robert Wiley Brooks, II; her daughters, Prater Frances Thigpen, Riley Jane Robinson and Billie Page Brooks; mother, Jane G. Prater; sister, Andrea Porcher Prater; brother, Page Robert Prater, II and wife, Kim; nieces, Logan Prater and Shelby Welch; mother- in- law, Annamarie Brooks; sisters-in-law, Sabrina Grubbs and husband, Johnny and Tina Pinson and husband, Troy.

Funeral services will be held at 3 o'clock p.m., Saturday, February 6 ^th from the First Assembly of God, Lincolnton, GA with Rev. Robert Adams and Rev. Terry Bonds officiating. Interment will follow in the Goshen Baptist Church Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made for Leigh's children to the Prater Benefit Fund,  Attn: Hope Thigpen, Queensborough National Bank and Trust, 549 W. Hill Street, Thomson, GA 30824.

The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Friday, February 5 ^th at Beggs Funeral Home, 799 Cobbham Rd. N.E., Thomson, GA (706) 595-4100.
