Laverne M. Hardy

Mrs. Laverne M. Hardy, formerly of  Elberton Hwy. died on Saturday, December 19, 2015 at Wills Memorial Hospital, Washington.

Mrs. Hardy, daughter of the late Robert Hammond Martin and late Lucille Crook Partridge had lived in Lincolnton all of her life. She  retired from Lincolnton Dry Cleaners, was a member of Morningside Baptist Church and the Ladies Auxiliary of American Legion #194.

Her family includes:

Daughter: Hope Gwinn and husband, Boyd of Grovetown

Grand-daughter: Emily Gwinn, Augusta

Sisters: Virginia M. Turner, and husband, Ed of Lincolnton

Eleanor M. Colvin, Thomson

Special Friend: Jackie Crook, and husband, Jackson of Lincolnton

She was preceded in death by her brother, James Robert "Jim" Martin.

Funeral services will be held Monday, December 21 ^st at 2pm at Morningside Baptist Church with Rev. Dan Fernandez officiating. Interment will follow in the Lincolnton City Cemetery.

The family will receive friends beginning at 1 pm until the hour of the service at the church.
