Thomson, GA-Mr. Larry Franklin Guy, 69, of Southlake Drive entered into rest November 5, 2014 at Select Specialty Hospital after an extended illness.
Mr. Guy was born in Jefferson County, Georgia and was the son of the late Benjamin Franklin Guy and the late Annette Cato Guy. He grew up in Warren County and was a 1964 graduate of Warren County High School. Mr. Guy was a residential and commercial building contractor for many years. He was an avid golfer and had a great passion for the game of golf. Mr. Guy was the Superintendent of the Augusta Municipal Golf Course for many years and retired in 2012. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Thomson and a member of the Men's Outreach Sunday School Class.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 49 years, Henrietta Howell Guy; daughter, Kim Jones and husband, Charles; son, Kelly Guy and wife, Marcie; grandchildren, Kylie Guy, Kevin Jones and Noah Jones all of Thomson, GA; brothers, Al Guy of Fayetteville, GA and Ray Guy of Hattiesburg, Mississippi and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, November 8, 2014 at First Baptist Church, Thomson with Rev. David Lambert officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Men's Outreach Sunday School Class. Burial will be private.
The family will receive friends from 10 until 11:00 a.m., Saturday in the Atrium of First Baptist Church, Thomson.

Beggs Funeral Home, 799 Cobbham Rd., Thomson, Georgia is in charge of arrangements.
