Larry Butler

Mr. Larry Butler, 76, entered into rest on March 18, 2026. Born on January 1, 1950, in Wilkes County, Larry was a man whose life was marked by loyalty, dedication, and a deep love for the outdoors.Larry grew up in Wilkes County and attended school in Washington. Larry spent many years as a log truck driver, a testament to his hardworking nature.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Larry found great joy in farming, gardening, hunting and fishing. He cherished the time spent outdoors. Perhaps most treasured of all were the moments he shared with his beloved grandson, Trey Rhodes, whose presence brought Larry immense happiness.

Larry is survived by his daughter, Lara B. Rhodes; his grandson, Trey Rhodes, along with Trey's girlfriend, Elle; his sister, Connie Danner, and her husband, Bobby; nephews Wade Danner and wife Cheryl, Michael Danner and wife Kim; along with many cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert L. Butler and Louise Butler, and his cherished wife of 32 years, Susan P. Butler.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
