Kenneth Johnson Pittard, Jr.

Harlem, Georgia- Mr. Kenneth Johnson Pittard, Jr., 75, entered into rest July 22, 2017 at his residence.

Mr. Pittard was born in Atlanta, Georgia to the late Kenneth Johnson Pittard, Sr. and the late Grace Vivian Boles. He grew up in Duluth, GA and joined the U.S. Navy and served his country during the Vietnam War. Mr. Pittard graduated from the University of Georgia in 1969 with a degree in History. He retired as city clerk from the City of Thomson and was a member of Silver Run Baptist Church.

Survivors include his beloved wife of 48 years, Cheryl McKinney Pittard; sons, Jason Kenneth Pittard (Paige), Jeffrey James Pittard (Jeni), and Joseph Wheeler Pittard (Jennifer); sisters, Denise Murphy and Jan Perkins; and 9 grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held at 11 o'clock a.m., Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at Silver Run Baptist Church Cemetery, Harlem, GA with Rev. Bill Harrell and Rev. David Pickard officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Silver Run Baptist Church, 5406 GA Hwy 221 SE, Harlem, GA 30814.
