Kenneth Harley "Kenny"  Parris, 79, of Fish Dam Rd., Thomson, GA passed away peacefully on December 12, 2024.

Kenny was a lifelong resident of McDuffie County, GA and the son of the late Marvin Parris, Sr. and the late Hazel Godowns Parris. He served his country in the U. S. Navy during the Vietnam Era. Kenny worked at Uniroyal, GIW, Southern Fibre, Nordmann Construction and retired from Two State Construction as a Heavy Equipment Operator. He will be remembered by those that loved him most for his passion for hunting, fishing, camping at the lake and reading. Kenny was best known by his friends for being one that loved telling stories and making you laugh. His greatest joy came from the time he spent with his children, grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. He was a member of Sweetwater Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Marvin "Buck" Parris, Jr.

Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Patricia Wells "Pat" Parris; son Kenneth Michael Parris (Angie); daughter, Brooke Parris (Andrew); grandchildren, Steven Michael Parris (Haley) and Courtney Faye Parris (Jeremy); sister, JoAnne Parris Hanson; sister-in-law, Shari Parris; and brother-in-law, Ricky Wells (Cinnamon).

The family will receive friends from 12 noon until 1:45 pm, Monday, December 16th , at Beggs Funeral Home, Thomson. Graveside services will immediately follow at 2 pm at Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens.
