Thomson, Georgia – Mrs. Katie Goodwin Clements, 71, entered into rest July 26, 2017.

Mrs. Clements was a long-time resident of McDuffie County, Georgia having been born in Waynesboro, GA to the late Oliver Russell Goodwin and the late Hazel Bass Goodwin. She was a homemaker who loved doing cross-stitch, working in the yard, spending time with her grandchildren watching movies and her puppy, "Little Bit". Mrs. Clements was a Christian who loved the Lord, enjoyed reading her Bible, and she was a member of Washington Heights Baptist Church.

Survivors include her beloved husband of 51 years, Phillip Eugene "Gene" Clements; daughters, Nancy C. Morgan of Evans, GA and Becky Oloman (Andrew) of Texas; brothers, Russell Goodwin of Loganville, GA and Herbert Goodwin of Bethlehem, GA; and 3 grandchildren, Abigail Morgan, Caleb Morgan, and Daniel Morgan.

The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 p.m., Saturday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
