Kathryn (Myers) Johnson

Camak, GA- Mrs. Kathryn M. Johnson, 90, of Washington Road, entered into rest February 16, 2014.  She was the beloved widow of the late Cecil N. Johnson.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 18, 2014 at Norwood Baptist Church with Revs. John Jenkins and Brian George officiating. Interment will follow in Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens.  Pallbearers will be grandsons.

Mrs. Johnson was a native of Wilkes County but had lived most of her life in Camak, Georgia.  She was the daughter of the late Thomas A. Myers and the late Willie Sue Edwards Myers.  Mrs. Johnson retired from Thomson Company as a shipping clerk.  She was a member of Norwood Baptist Church, served as past Matron of Cleopatra Chapter 241 Order of the Eastern Star, and served on the Town of Camak Council for many years.

Survivors include her son, Tommy Johnson and wife, Peggy of Warwick, Ga; daughters Leona J. Felix of Camak, Linda J. Sims and husband, Herschel of Ball Ground, and Susan J. Reese and husband, Johnny of Camak; daughter-in-law, Anne Johnson of Warrenton; sisters, Evelyn Hillman of Augusta, Shirley Nabors of Hazelhurst, Clarie Whitfield of Sylvester, Ann Cofer of Loganville, and Jimmie Johnson of Greensboro; 10 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.  Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by her son, Steward Johnson and son-in-law, Jerry Felix.

The family will receive friends from 6:00–8:00 PM Monday, February 17, 2014 at the funeral home.
