Kathryn Butler Dill

Mrs. Kathryn Butler Dill, 88, of Saddlebrook Ct. entered into rest on Tuesday evening, April 23 ^rd ,2013 at her residence.

Mrs. Dill, daughter of the late Lemuel M. and Eva Inez Albea Butler, was  a native of Wilkes County,  and graduate of Tignall High School.  In 1941, following high school, she was chosen to play with The Atlanta Sports Arena Blues, a women's semi- pro basketball team located in Atlanta. Shortly thereafter, she became employed by the Bank of Georgia. In 1964, she married Richard Dill, a bank examiner with the federal reserve bank  in Atlanta.  Following his death in 1981, she retired after over four decades of service to the Bank of Georgia and its successors.

After living in Florida for over 6 years, she and her sister, Audrey  relocated back to to Lincoln County.  Mrs. Dill was a member of Beulah Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, G.W. Butler, Harold Albea Butler, Tom Butler, H.M. Butler, and sisters, Gene Huguley, and Esther Bodie.

She is survived by her sister: Audrey G. Butler of Lincolnton

Visitation will be held from 7pm until 8pm on Thursday evening at the funeral home.

Graveside  services will be held on Friday, April 26 ^th at 11:30 a.m. at Arlington Memorial Park Cemetery,  Sandy Springs, Ga with Rev. Ellis Moore officiating.
