Kathleen Wright Reed

Mrs. Kathleen Wright Reed, 82, of Double Branches Rd, died Tuesday, July 5, 2011 at Doctors Hospital, Augusta. Born on November 14, 1928 in Lincoln County, she was the ninth of ten children born to Moody L. and Gertrude McNair Wright. Mrs. Reed was a member of Pine Grove United Methodist Church where she had served as Communion Steward for over 20 years. She was also a member of the Pine Grove United Methodist Church UMW. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Talmadge B. Reed, Sr. Additional survivors include daughters: Kathy Reed McWhorter and husband, Tom; Havalyn Reed; sons, Kenneth Reed and wife, Debby and Tab Reed and wife, Sherri. She also leaves behind to cherish her memory, 11 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted from Pine Grove United Methodist Church on Friday, July 8th at 11:00 a.m. with the Revs. Thomas Moon and Paul C. Reviere officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers serving will include: Will McWhorter, Reed McWhorter, Ken Reed, Bo Reed, Brad Powell, Brin Hubbard, David Ellis, Chris Dunsmore, Brandon Stevens and Colton Inglett.
