Katharine Lammers Everwine

Mrs. Everwine, daughter of the late Charles G. and Agnes McDonnell Lammers, was born in Indianapolis, but lived in the Chicago area for most of her life. It was here that she taught first grade for over 25 years. Following retirement, she moved to Portsmouth, Va. to take care of her mother with the help of her brother Chuck. In 1993, she moved to Savannah Lakes Village to live with her sister Barbara and brother-in-law Wally. Since living in McCormick, she had been active in the Humane Society of McCormick County, the local nursing home, Helping Hands and the Humane Society. She enjoyed playing golf and bridge, and spending time with children and her dogs. Her brother, Jack Lammers, preceded her in death. Survivors: Son: Christopher B. Everwine and wife, Terri, of Barrington, Il. Granddaughter: Leah Katharine Everwine Sisters: Barbara L. Zust, McCormick, SC and Ann L. Neff, Northbrook, Il. Brother: Charles M. Lammers, Parksville, SC A Memorial Mass will be held this Friday, October 14th at 11:00 AM at Good Shepherd Catholic Church.
