Judson "Bubba" Richard Lazenby, Sr.

Judson Richard "Bubba" Lazenby, Sr. , 75, entered into eternal rest on July 25, 2023.

Bubba was a lifelong resident of McDuffie County and the son of the late Beal "JR" Lazenby and the late Irene Duckworth Lazenby. He graduated from Thomson High School and played football for the Thomson Bulldogs. Bubba was a maintenance supervisor at the VA Hospital and retired after many years of service. He gained an interest in cattle farming at a young age and was still very involved up until his death. Bubba was an avid hunter, especially going to dove shoots. He enjoyed horseback riding, watching football games, looking at his cows, and especially spending time with his family. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church, knew Jesus Christ as his personal Savior and loved to share the "Good News".

Survivors include his daughters, Kellie Lazenby Montero and husband, Angel and Lori Lazenby Rainwater; son, Judson Richard Lazenby, Jr.; sisters, Faye Dye (Allen) and Diane Marsh; special nephew, Jason Hawkins (Stacy); grandchildren, Bryce Burns, Lindsey Montero, Elizabeth Montero, Gavin Rainwater and great grandchildren, McKenna Taylor, Tara Burns, and Coraleigh Burns.

His Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m.,  Saturday, July 29, 2023, at Bethel Baptist Church with Rev. Tim  Ferrell officiating.  The Family will receive friends at the Church one hour prior to the service.
