SFC. Johnny Lee Davis, US Army Retired of Hensley, Arkansas entered into rest at his son's home in Lincolnton on Saturday, November 21st which was his 79th birthday.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 27, 2020 at 11 a.m. at Springlake Church of The Nazarene in Hensley, Arkansas with burial following in the McPherson Cemetery.
Mr. Davis, son of the late Lloyd and Alma Yarberry Davis, was born in Saline County, Arkansas on November 21, 1941. During his 20 year career in the US Army, he served in Vietnam and retired as a Sergeant First Class. He was a member of Springlake Church of The Nazarene and enjoyed hunting, fishing, cutting and polishing gemstones. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 17 years, Margaret Wren Davis in 1997. Following Margaret's death, he moved back to his hometown in Arkansas and later married the former Eva Eloise McGinley. Eloise passed away in 2015.
He will be greatly missed by his son, Johnny L. Davis of Lincolnton; daughters, Debbie Stewart of Harlem and Patricia Rinker and husband Bryan of Evans; brother, Ronnie Davis and wife Becky of East End, Arkansas; grandchildren, Emyle Prata, John Davis, Jacob Davis, Hayden Davis, Brighton Rinker, Angela Maxwell, and Kenny Stewart; 4 great- grandchildren.
Beggs Funeral Home, 200 May Ave., Lincolnton, Ga. and Memorial Gardens Funeral Home of Sheridan, Arkansas are assisting the family of Johnny Lee Davis with the funeral arrangements.
