Johnnie "Moralle" (Quarles) Mckenzie

Johnnie Moralle Quarles McKenzie, 87 known best as "Moralle" passed away peacefully on the 1st of September 2025, in Augusta, Georgia. She was born on March 16, 1938, in Appling, Georgia to the late Johnny Quarles and Maudie Ashmore Quarles.

Moralle's roots were firmly planted in Lincolnton, where she lived her entire life. Her career as a dedicated saleslady for Avon in her later years was marked by her genuine care for her clients and colleagues alike. She was also a devout Christian and a member of Jones Chapel Church, where her faith and fellowship with others were a source of great comfort and joy. Moralle loved her flower garden, it was a riot of color and a haven for the hummingbirds she so loved to feed. Her passion for nature extended to her travels, with the mountains and the beach being her favorite destinations. Family was the cornerstone of Moralle's life. She is survived by a loving and extensive family, including her sons Johnny Langham and wife, Rhonda and John McKenzie Jr. and wife, Diana; daughters Kathy Langham Dye, Betty Mayberry, Teresa Henderson, and Beth Pope; brothers Richard and Stanley Quarles; ten grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. Moralle was preceded in death by her brothers Ray, Clyde, Leon, Jerry, and Charles Quarles and her son in law, Larry Dye.

A graveside service will be held Thursday, September 4, 2025, at 1:00 pm at Jones Chapel Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday from 11:00am to 12:30 pm at the funeral home.
