John Wilson Young

Warrenton, GA -Mr. John Wilson Young, 87, entered into rest September 4, 2015.

Mr. Young was a native of Wilkes County, GA and the son of the late Thomas Combs Young, Sr. and the late Mamie Irene Flint Young. He lived most of his life in Wilkes County and was retired from construction and cattle farming. Mr. Young was a member of Fishing Creek Baptist Church and attended Washington Heights Baptist Church, Thomson.

Survivors include his sons, John Thomas Young, Edward Young (Linda); daughters, Carolyn Morris (David), Doris Appelt (Rick), Irene Drake (Noble) and Bonnie Taylor (Paul); brother, Thomas Combs Young, Jr.; sisters, Margaret Gunter, Betty Drinkard; 18 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 5 o'clock, p.m., Sunday, September 6, 2015 in the chapel of Beggs Funeral Home with Rev. Doug Thompson officiating.

The family will receive friends from 4 until 5 p.m., Sunday at the funeral home.

It is the family's desire that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Washington Heights Baptist Church.
