John Thomas "J.T." McCorkle

Thomson, GA-Mr. John Thomas "J. T." McCorkle, 75, of Cedar Road entered into rest June 13, 2015.

Mr. McCorkle was a lifelong resident of Warren County, GA and the son of the late Horace Edwin McCorkle and the late Elvie Edwards McCorkle. He worked at JEBCO many years and retired from Georgia Pacific, Warrenton as a Supervisor. Mr. McCorkle was a faithful and devoted member of Macedonia United Methodist Church. He was also a member of Franklin Lodge #11 in Warrenton. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Brooks McCorkle and sister, Barbara M. Reese. Survivors include his wife, Pat McCorkle; daughter, Emmalee M. Cranford (Benji) of Thomson, GA; son, Dan McCorkle (Kelly) of North Branch, MN; sisters, Patricia M. Sprayberry of Covington, GA and Vivian M. Reese of Norwood, GA; grandchildren, Canaan , Benjamin, John Patrick and Sam; step grandchildren, Nick, Zack and Natalie.

Funeral services will be held at  11 o'clock, a.m., Monday, June 15, 2015 at Macedonia United Methodist Church with Rev. David Sisler and Rev. Mickey Moss officiating. Interment will follow in Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Macedonia United Methodist Church or to the American Cancer Society. T he family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m., Sunday at the funeral home.
