Thomson, GA-Mr. John Morris Cox, 72, entered into rest October 24, 2013.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, October 27, 2013 at Sallie Hill Cemetery, Warrenton, GA with Charles Gunn officiating.

Mr. Cox grew up in Canton, North Carolina, lived in Martinez, GA and Thomson, GA for many years. He served in the U. S. Marines and was a retired manager from the UPS Distribution Center in Camak, GA with over 30 years service. He was a Baptist by faith. Mr. Cox was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed spending time with his family at his home on the lake in Lincoln County.

Survivors include his wife, Pat Kitchens of Thomson; son, John Matthew Cox of Savannah; daughter, Tracy C. Bartlett and husband, Dan of Athens; brother, Jerry Cox of Greensboro, N.C.; sister, Cozette West of Leicester, N.C. and 9 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.

The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m., Saturday at the funeral home.
