John Mack Alley, Sr. J. M. Huber Thomson, GA - Mr. John Mack Alley, Sr., 77, of Reese Street entered into rest January 29, 2013 at his residence. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, February 1, 2013 in the Beggs Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Lambert officiating. Mr. Alley was born in Tarversville, Georgia to the late Davis Alley and the late Mary Long Alley. He lived in Thomson for the past 50 years and retired as a maintanence supervisor from J. M. Huber with 34 years service. Mr. Alley was an avid golfer and was a Baptist by faith. Survivors include his beloved wife, Loretta C. Alley; sons, John Mack Alley, Jr. and wife, Janice of Martinez, Ricky Alley of Midville; daughter, Vicki Neal of Thomson; sisters, Dorothy Stroup , Margaret Langel; grandchildren, Shannon Kernaghan and husband, Trey, Victoria Alley, Kelly Branan and husband, Michael, Stacy Neal, Emily Neal and great grandchildren, Alley Kernaghan and Aubrey Branan. Mr. Alley was preceded in death by a grandson, Jonathan Alley. Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church, P. O. Box 1205, Thomson, GA 30824 designated to the Ferguson Property Fund. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m., Thursday at the funeral home. Beggs Funeral Home, 799 Cobbham Road, Thomson, Georgia is in charge of arrangements.
