Joseph T. "Joey" Newsome

Thomson, GA - Joseph T. "Joey" Newsome, 34, of Quail Farm Rd. entered into rest August 5, 2016.

Joey was a native of McDuffie County, GA and was a 2001 graduate of Thomson High School. He was a plant manager with Aggregates USA in Appling, GA. Joey loved the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. He was a Baptist by faith.

Survivors include his wife, Angie Graham Newsome; daughters, Taelor Newsome and Sarah Ann Newsome; parents, Jimmy Newsome and Joyce Wells Newsome; brother, Jimmy "Buddy" Newsome, Jr. (April) and sister, Janice Sedgwick (Glenn); nephew, Chandler Newsome and niece, Lindsey Newsome; and in laws, Cat and Bill Leachman and many aunts and uncles.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, August 10, 2016 in the chapel of Beggs Funeral Home with Rev. Tim Ferrell and Rev. Jim Martin officiating. Interment will follow in Westview Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Todd Hunt, Cane Gilmer, Aaron Phillips, Brian Godbee, Chad Brown, Wayne Newsome and Rusty Finley. Honorary pallbearers will be: Travis Burke, Josh Ogletree and other Aggregates USA Employees.

The family will receive friends from 6 until 9 p.m., Tuesday at the funeral home.
