Thomson, Georgia - Mrs. Joan Harnesberger Palmer, 75, of Wrightsboro Rd. entered into rest February 27, 2016.

Mrs. Palmer was born in Appling, GA and was the daughter of the late Ollie Harnesberger and the late Elgie Goldman Harnesberger. She lived in Thomson most of her life and was  retired from Chipman Union. She was a member of Damascus Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Palmer was also predeceased by her brother, John Harnesberger and grandson, Jeremy Hayes.

Survivors include her husband, Roy Eugene Palmer; daughter, Tina P. Lewis (Shawn) all of Thomson, GA; son, Mark Palmer (Paula) of Chicago, IL; 5 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren and 2 step grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock, p.m., Wednesday, March 2, 2016 in the chapel of Beggs Funeral Home with Rev.Gary Palmer and Rev. Charles Reese officiating. Interment will follow in Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m., Tuesday at the funeral home.
