Jimmy Frank Smith
Thomson, Georgia- Mr. Jimmy Frank Smith, 80 of Central Rd. Ext. Thomson, GA entered into rest March 30, 2017.
Mr. Smith was born in Warren County, GA to the late Glover Smith and the late Virginia Utley Smith. Mr. Smith was the retired owner and operator of Smith Auto Parts. He was a member of Sweetwater Baptist Church where he served as a deacon, and taught sunday school for 28 years. Mr. Smith had served as a volunteer for the Kilpatrick Baptist Association Disaster Relief, served on the Board of Directors of Agape Ministry and The Old Frontier. He served as a lay minister of Gough Baptist Church for three years and as co-pastor of The Old Frontier Outreach Ministry for 12 years. Mr. Smith was an avid gardener, and loved serving the Lord by "Reaching One More for Jesus ".
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Beth Smith; sons, Sidney Smith (Lisa) and Chris Smith (Kristy); daughter, Theresa Usry (Danny); brother, Tommy Smith all of Thomson, GA; grandchildren, Daniel Usry, Christine Usry, Clay Hillis, Allison Smith, Taylor Smith, Will Smith, Clifton Smith, Mary Catherine Smith, Sidney Anne Smith, Virginia Lynne Smith, and Ida Kate Smith; and great grandchild, Amelia Cosby.
Funeral services will be held at 11 o'clock a.m., Saturday, April 01, 2017 at Sweetwater Baptist Church, Thomson, GA with Pastor Chris Smith, Pastor David Lowe and Sidney Anne Smith officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends following the service.
