Dearing, Georgia- Mr. Jimmy Roger Shelton, 77, entered into rest December 12, 2016.

Mr. Shelton was born in Stapleton, Georgia to the late Hubert and Millie Hadden Shelton.  He lived in Dearing most of his life, enjoyed fishing, and had worked for Kingsley Mill, Thomson, GA.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Shelton was predeceased by his beloved wife, Eleanor Lewis Shelton; brothers, Hubert "Buck" Shelton and M.A. Shelton; and sister, Laurie Scarber.

Survivors include his daughter, Nancy Clark; sister, Helen "Gat" Gunby (Danny); grandchildren, Daphne Moss and Niki Smith; and great-grandchildren Hunter Clark and Quinn Moss.

Funeral services will be held at 3 o'clock p.m., Thursday, December 15, 2016 in the Beggs Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Bob Quinn officiating.  Interment will follow in Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens, Thomson, GA.

The family will receive friends from 2 until 3 p.m., Thursday at the funeral home prior to the service.
