Jesse Jordan Reese, 82, Norwood, Georgia, entered into eternal rest on August 20, 2022.

Jesse was born in Washington, GA and the son of the late Harvey J. Reese and the late Edith Hall Reese. He lived in Norwood, GA all of his life. Jesse worked at Canal Wood and after 47 years of service he retired as a Regional Manager and was a Master Timber Harvester. He was a devoted  member of Macedonia United Methodist Church, where he served in various capacities. Jesse enjoyed farming, fishing, wood working, being outdoors and spending time with his family and friends. His greatest passion was his love for his children and grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Jesse was predeceased by his brother, Terry Reese.

His survivors include his beloved wife of 47 years, Connie Thigpen Reese; daughters, Hollie Rachels (Bobby) and Julie Neal (Brad); and his grandchildren, Laramie Rachels, Katelyn Rachels, Sophia Neal and Addilynn Neal,; and his sister, Jane Bishop.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Tuesday, August 23, 2022 at Macedonia United Methodist Church with Revs. David Sisler and Roger Canuel  officiating.  Interment will follow in the Macedonia United Methodist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6 until 8pm, Monday, August 22, 2022 at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Gregg Reese, Tony Reese, Jimmy Young, David Smith, Brandon Waller, Walley Thigpen, Jordan Welch and Garrett Young. Honorary Pallbearers will be Don Reese, Robert Reese, Wendell Amerson and Michael Lance.

In lieu of flowers it is the family's request that memorial contributions be made to Macedonia Methodist Church, 7257 GA Hwy 80N, Warrenton, Georgia 30828 or to a charity of your choice.
