Jerry Lee Stevenson

Mr. Jerry Lee Stevenson, 78, of Gibson Hwy, Warrenton, GA entered into rest on January 21, 2022.

Jerry was born in McDuffie County to the late Clyde Stevenson and the late Vergie Gray Stevenson. He was retired from the East Georgia Housing Authority and also was a contractor for FHA. He also worked for Wilson Homes for many years. Jerry was a excellent woodcraftsman and furniture maker. He also enjoyed fishing and collecting antiques.

Survivors include his wife of 22 years, Julia Brooks Stevenson; his children, Pamela Stevenson Florence of Martinez, GA, Sheryll Stevenson Chalker (Bobby) of Thomson, GA, Brooke Alaniz (Paul) of Simpsonville, SC, Alecia Esarey (Mike) of Ft. Walton Beach, FL, Brett Norris (Crystal) of Gibson, GA; brother, Norman Stevenson of Thomson, GA; sisters, Janice Stevenson of Dearing, GA, Kathleen Brown of Warrenton, GA, Louise Key of Warrenton, GA, Carol Ann Stevenson of Harlem, GA; grandchildren, Hannah Herndon Marshall (Scott), Olin Williamson Herndon (Kelly), Ivy Elizabeth Clements, Clinton Robert Chalker, Shannon Lea Chalker Wojcio (Brian), Bekka Walicke (Alex), Ian Smith, Emma Smith, Brett Norris, Jr. and Sallie Ann Norris; and great grandchildren, Everett James Herndon, Hazel Elizabeth Clements, Olin General Herndon, Ada Perry Marshall and A.J. Walicke.

A graveside service will be held at Westview Cemetery in Thomson, GA, at 2 p.m., Monday, January 24, 2022 with Rev. Danny Quin officiating. The family will receive friends following the graveside.

It is the family's request that memorial contributions be made to The McDuffie County Animal Shelter in honor of Jerry's love of animals.
