Jennifer "Jenn" DiGeronimo

Jennifer “Jenn” DiGeronimo, born on February 8, 1974, passed away peacefully on July 20, 2026, after a courageous battle with metastatic breast cancer. She was 52 years old.

Jenn was a loving wife, devoted mother, daughter, sister, and friend whose kindness touched countless lives. She had a gentle spirit, a creative heart, and a remarkable ability to make those around her feel valued and loved.

Raised in Floral Park, Long Island, New York, Jenn built a career doing what she loved most—helping people feel beautiful and confident. She worked as a hairstylist before becoming a cosmetology instructor, where she shared her knowledge, talent, and passion with future professionals. After moving to South Carolina, she continued pursuing her dream by opening The Hair Genie in McCormick, where she welcomed clients as friends and built lasting relationships with so many in the community. Through her work, she helped people not only look their best, but feel their best as well.

After meeting Tim and beginning their life together, Jenn made the brave and loving decision to leave behind the home, family, friends, and career she had known in New York to move to South Carolina and build a new life with Tim and Jordan. She embraced this new chapter wholeheartedly, making sacrifices out of love and devotion to the family she had chosen. Though the transition meant leaving so much behind, Jenn brought with her the warmth, creativity, and kindness that would touch everyone she met in her new community. Tim and Jordan loved Jenn deeply, and she was the heart of their family—the person who brought love, laughter, and beauty into their lives.

Jenn possessed an incredible creative spirit. She found joy in beauty, art, and all things whimsical, especially Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, which inspired a cherished collection she lovingly built over the years. She had a remarkable eye for creativity and brought warmth, imagination, and beauty into everything she touched.

Her love for animals was equally extraordinary. Her home was always filled with beloved companions, including her dogs, Charlie and Stewie; her ferrets, Annabelle and Lucy; and, until recently, four pet rats that she adored. Every animal she welcomed into her life was treated as family and deeply loved.

Jenn had a gift for making people feel good about themselves. Whether she was cheering someone on during a friendly game of Mexican Train with an enthusiastic “Good job!” or “Nice!”, encouraging a student, or simply listening to a friend, she had a natural ability to lift the spirits of those around her. Her kindness, optimism, and gentle encouragement were among the many qualities that made her so deeply loved.

Although cancer changed the course of Jenn’s life, it never defined her. Throughout her illness, she demonstrated extraordinary courage, resilience, and grace, inspiring everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. She faced every challenge with remarkable strength while continuing to surround those she loved with warmth, compassion, and unwavering love.

Jenn is survived by her beloved husband, Timothy DiGeronimo, and her son, Jordan DiGeronimo, who were the center of her world and loved her beyond measure. She is also survived by her mother, Marion Posillico; her father, William Posillico and his longtime partner, Pauline Dain; her brother, Mark Posillico; her nephew, Miles, her cousin Noel, extended family members, and dear friends.

Jenn leaves behind a legacy of kindness, creativity, courage, and love. Though her time with us was far too short, the joy she brought to others and the lives she touched will remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

A visitation to celebrate Jenn’s life will be held at Beggs Funeral Home, Lincolnton on Thursday, July 23, 2026 from 5p.m. until 8p.m. followed by a eulogy. In accordance with Jenn’s wishes, she will be cremated following the services.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hallie Hill Animal Sanctuary, according to the family’s wishes.
