Ms. Towne, a native of Greenville, SC, grew up in Las Vegas, but had lived most of her adult life in this area in both South Carolina and Georgia and had settled near Broad River in Tignall. Her artistic abilities enabled her to paint many beautiful works of art and all kinds of woodworking.
She had the biggest heart and was a giving soul. Recently, after a lifetime of struggling with many obstacles, she was baptized and accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. Unfortunately, physically she was not well. Spiritually, however, she was doing better than ever in her life! Praise God for what He was doing in her life!
Survivors include her mother, Nira Marice "Nikki" Evans; father James Bryan Miller; daughters, Shauna Marice Towne Littlechief and Stephanie Gene Towne; sister, Kimberly Ann McCutcheon- O'Brien; grandchildren, Jacquelyn Miner, Royce Miner, Kristen Silvers, Tyler Silvers and Skyler Szalla, and boyfriend, of 20 years, Paul Wessels.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Woodlawn UMC or Beulah Baptist Church.
