James "Doodle" Toulson

Mitchell, GA - Mr. James "Doodle" Toulson, 67, of Baker Rd. entered into rest December 13, 2017 at his residence.

Mr. Toulson was born in Warrenton, GA, the son of the late Marvin Toulson and the late Erma Skelley Toulson. He was a lifelong member of Long Creek Baptist Church and an active member of WORD AFLAME Penecostal Church in Stapleton, GA. Mr. Toulson worked at Georgia Pacific for many years, was a master welder, a heavy equipment operator and retired as a truck driver. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his daughter, Susan Toulson; brothers, Billy Toulson (Betty) and Claude Toulson; sisters, Peggy Jackson, Mary June Richards (Lamar), and Betty Ann Kitchens; and sister-in-law, Catherine Toulson.

Survivors include his beloved wife of 43 years, Linda Toulson; daughters, Laurie Bland (Charles) of Warrenton, GA and Bobbie Crutchfield (Johnny) of Gibson, GA, brothers, Ray Toulson (Hilda) and Sammy Toulson; sister-in-law, Margie Toulson; brothers-in-law, Lanier Jackson and Eugene Kitchens; grandchildren, Ryan Bland and Katelyn Crutchfield; numerous nieces and nephews; and his cherished pet, "Boo Boo".

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, December 16, 2017 at Long Creek Baptist Church, Warrenton, GA with Rev. Chris Wasson and Brothers Benny Bush and Tim Thompson officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m., Friday at the funeral home.
