James Steele

James Albert Steele, Jr. Thomson, GA- Mr. James Albert Steele, Jr., 70, of Stagecoach Rd. entered into rest June 22, 2015. Mr. Steele was born in Augusta, GA and was the son of the late James Albert Steele, Sr. and the late Dorothy Hammett Steele. He served in the U. S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam Era and was the retired owner and operator of Steele Tomato House at the Augusta Farmer's Market. Mr. Steele was a member of Union Baptist Church. Survivors include his beloved wife, Ruby Carver Steele; daughter, Patricia S. Stripling (Wayne) of Evans, GA; sons, James Albert "Jamie" Steele, III (Alisha) of Acworth, GA, Richard Luke of Thomson, GA and grandchildren, Megan Connor, Matthew Connor, Christopher Connor and Zachary Connor. Funeral services will be held at 11 o'clock, a.m., Thursday, June 25, 2015 in the chapel of Beggs Funeral Home with Rev. Butch Baston officiating. Interment will follow in Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m., Wednesday at the funeral home.
