James "Jimmy" Randall Norman

Mr. James Randall Norman, affectionately known as Jimmy to his friends and family, passed away peacefully on June 10, 2025, in Watkinsville, GA. Born on April 4, 1948, in Washington, GA, Jimmy's life was a testament to the values of hard work, dedication to family, and the quiet strength that characterized his gentle spirit.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, June 13, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Pope's Chapel UMC Cemetery.  The family will receive friends on Thursday evening, June 12, 2025 from 6:00 PM – 7:30 PM at the funeral home. Jimmy graduated from Wilkes County High School and then joined the National Guard where he laid the foundation for a life of service and commitment. He went on to work for over four decades as an equipment operator at Rocky River Carpet Mill in Calhoun Falls, SC. His dedication to his work was matched only by his devotion to his family and his community. A man of simple pleasures, Jimmy found joy in the earthy aroma of freshly tilled soil and the satisfaction of a well-grown crop of tomatoes. His interest in family genealogy was more than a hobby; it was a way to honor and preserve the legacy of those who came before him. Jimmy's faith was a cornerstone of his life, and he attended Martin's Crossroads Congregational Holiness Church and Forward Assembly of God, where he was a beloved member of the congregation. Jimmy's selfless nature was evident in every aspect of his life. He was a gentle presence, a man who spoke softly but whose actions left a profound impact on those fortunate enough to know him. His kindness and generosity of spirit were the hallmarks of his character, and they are the qualities that will be most remembered by his loved ones. Predeceased by his wife, Willene Davis Norman, his brother, Ben Joe Norman, and his sister, Nancy Norman Faulk, Jimmy's memory will be cherished and kept alive by his sons, Ty Norman of Tignall and Gerrin Norman, along with his daughter-in-law Nichole of Royston. They, along with his extended family and a community of friends, mourn his passing while celebrating the life of a man who was the epitome of integrity and grace.

The family wishes to thank the wonderful staff of Agape Hospice and The Grove Personal Care Home for their expert care of their dad.

Beggs Funeral Home, Lincolnton is honored to serve the family of Mr. James Randall "Jimmy" Norman.
