James W. Myers

Mr. James Watson Myers, 92 of Covington entered into rest Saturday, September 13, 2014 at Rockdale Medical Center, Conyers.

Mr. Myers, son of the late Pat and Kate McMahan Myers, was a native of Lincoln County. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during WWII. Following WWII, he settled in the Atlanta area. Later, he worked for Huddle House at their headquarters as area supervisor, and retired as commissary manager. After retirement, he enjoyed golfing and played his last round at age 89. He was a member of the Covington VFW #2938 and had served as Quartermaster.

Janice M. Herdt, and husband, Lanny of Conyers

Pam M. Sigman and husband, Bobby of Covington

Tracy Holland, and husband, Jack of Jasper

Sons: James W." Jimmy" Myers and wife, Cristy of Lawrenceville

Mike Esarey of Lawrenceville

Brother: Ollie Myers

10 grandchildren

6 great- grandchildren

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 16th  from 1 p.m until 2:30 at Beggs Funeral Home in Lincolnton

The funeral will follow at 3 p.m .at Martin's Crossroads Congregational Holiness Church with burial in the church cemetery.
