Mr. James Carpenter Justice, Sr., 93 husband of Jane Bentley Justice, formerly of Ferguson- Justice Rd, entered into rest at Georgia War Veterans Nursing Home, Augusta.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, February 10 th at 2 p.m. at St. Paul United Methodist Church with Revs. Virginia Best and W.C. Bentley officiating. A visitation will be held in the church social hall beginning at 1 p.m.
Mr. Justice, son of the late James C. and Nellie Campbell Justice, was a lifelong resident of Lincoln County. He graduated from Lincolnton High School and served in the U.S. Army during WWII in Europe in the PO Valley. He was a member of St Paul United Methodist Church where he had served as Treasurer for 23 years, Sunday School Secretary for 20 years, building committee and built the new church building, Secretary and Treasurer of St. Paul Recreation Area, certified lay speaker, and member of the administrative board. He had been a building contractor, member of Woodman of the World, Boy Scout leader and served on the Lincoln County Board of Education for 8 years. His main interest was always church, family, woodworking, music and playing the violin.
