James "Jim" Gibson

Thomson, GA – Mr. James "Jim" Douglas Gibson, 66, of Central Rd. entered into rest November 16, 2015.

Mr. Gibson was born in Atlanta, GA and was the son of the late Louie Gibson and the late Mildred Potts Gibson. He served in the U. S. Navy during Vietnam and was retired as a truck driver with Roadway Express. Mr. Gibson was a member of Silvercrest Baptist Church, Augusta.

Survivors include his wife, Karen Gibson; daughter, Jennifer Gibson both of Thomson; sons, Ricky Gibson and Randy Gibson both of Toccoa and 9 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock p.m., Friday, November 20, 2015 in the chapel of Beggs Funeral Home with Rev. John Kilpatrick officiating. Interment will follow in Westview Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 12 until 2:00 p.m., Friday at the funeral home.
